DataDis is proud to welcome Sonya as our new accounting assistant and receptionist at our Quebec office. Sonya joined the administration department last February and will accompany the financial controller in accounting and billing tasks. She will also be in charge of assisting customers/ suppliers as well as dispatching calls and emails to the people in charge.
Sonya is from Saint-Georges-de-Beauce, Quebec, but she has spent part of her life in Montreal and Quebec City. She completed her secretarial training in Montreal, where she then worked for 8 years in billing. Back in Saint-Georges, she worked for 23 years in international purchasing and supply before moving on to a position as assistant to project managers in Quebec City.
Mom of 2 and grandma 7 times, she is very close to her family. Moreover, for a few years now, she has been taking care of her mother as a caregiver. In her free time, she loves taking walks, going bowling, window shopping and cooking.
Fun fact, a few years ago, she purchased a house in Costa Rica where she plans to spend time when she retires.
We asked Sonya about her first impressions of DataDis and the team. Here’s what she had to say: “What immediately caught my attention was the young and dynamic side of the company. As soon as I arrived, I felt good and I immediately liked the human and warm side of the employees”.
